Visit TOMORROW'S DREAM on Facebook
|This is an image from our family photo album. My grandparents wait in their 1955 Morris Minor, presumably for the photographer to finish taking this image. This photo was taken in 1962 in the Wellington suburb of Glenside, my childhood home. My Grandfather was a carpenter, he built the archway at the top of the driveway.|
A composite image of a lunar eclipse (known as a "blood moon") as observed from Wellington, New Zealand on the 5th of April 2015. The image on the left was taken at 12:01am, the one on the right was taken at 1:19am. The Moon appears red due to the fact that we are observing the shadow effect through the atmosphere.
It can be quite funny, going through life not knowing certain things. For example, I learn't the other week that chickens are not the only birds that can lay eggs for normal consumption, domestic ducks can, too! There are some slight differences however. Duck eggs tend to be larger, and they contain more calories, cholesterol, fat and minerals than the eggs from their chook counterparts.
